Family: Poaceae
Part used: Extracted endosperms
Where: Wuchuan County
Phyto-Nectars: Radiant & Rested
Why
Beta-glucan is a predominant non-starch, water-soluble polysaccharide found in oats.
Researched for various bioactive effects including, antioxidant, anti-diabetic, anti-microbial, anti-hypertensive, immunomodulatory, anti-hyperlipidemic, anti-obesity, and cardioprotective properties. Beta-glucans have been shown to significantly lower serum total cholesterol (TC) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels. Included in our nectars for its potential cholesterol-lowering and anti-oxidant properties as well as its smooth texture and taste.
