Rituals to boost immunity
If you know me, personally or from instagram you may know that I struggle with the transition from summer to autumn and winter. My energy and mood changes and I tend to go out a lot less. Picking up the kids when they have after school activities on a cold damp and dark evening, (when all I want to do is be wrapped up in bed with a hot water bottle) is daunting, to say the least! This is the time of the year that I need to take extra care of myself.
If you knew my cafe, Nectar, we served turmeric and ginger shots with black pepper, sea buckthorn shots, mushrooms to add to coffees and all sorts of functional remedies, to boost peoples' immune systems and help them through this time of year.
Our best seller was always the trikatu latte (turmeric, ginger, black pepper, plant milk). The idea for Phyto nectars developed as a means of providing and combining key ingredients that would not only be beneficial but would be delicious as well, in satchet form- quick and easy to make. Gone are the days of having to hold my nose to knock back a potion!
With I AM RESILIENT all you have to do is add your choice of milk. It has fermented turmeric, sea buckthorn, piperine that warms you up from the inside, astragalus, and chaga mushrooms. ( I literally just got up and made one. :). It has 600 % of the daily recommended average of vitamin D, which is essential for people that feel that shift in the seasons. It will energise, uplift and support your immune system and is absolutely delicious. A spiced mango turmeric flavour.
Some of the other things I like to do to keep me uplifted:
Make sure I get as much sunlight as possible
Walk in nature rain or shine
Keep my immune system strong
Get 8 hours of sleep
Swim in cold water or at least put the cold water on in the shower for 10 seconds
Eat warming foods, like soup and stews
Learn to say no and not overextend myself ( this one takes practice)
I like my I AM RESILIENT with warm plant milk. It goes really well with coconut milk but you can also have it with hot water and honey, its so soothing.
